Mercadel Motorsports is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, to help fund research into the causes, prevention and treatments for autism, and to advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

Employed by American Airlines for over 20 years now, Michael has had a love for speed since childhood where he raced motocross.

"I always enjoyed going fast, and there was no bigger high than going to the drag races in southern Cal!  When Beka was 8 years old I took her to her first NHRA Pro event. Needless to say, she loved it!  At first I caught lots of heat putting Beka behind the wheel. Now, family and friends expect weekly reports!" -Michael.
